Week Ahead Brief | Monday, August 24, 2026

Research Desk · August 24, 2026

The Setup

Washington details its harshest Iran sanctions package this afternoon. Oil is falling into the news, not rising.
Nvidia reports Wednesday, the Fed chair speaks Friday.

Where Futures Sit

Nasdaq 100 futures down roughly 0.5 percent. S&P 500 futures down about 0.2 percent. Dow futures near flat.

Last week the S&P 500 fell 1.4 percent and the Nasdaq lost 2 percent, snapping three-week winning streaks. The S&P closed Friday at 7,674.37.

The Trump Fed Takeover

Millionaire warns: "Move your money now." Larry Benedict generated $274 million in profits for his clients by knowing where money flows when the Federal Reserve shifts.

He says Trump's Fed Takeover is triggering the most significant shift in U.S. markets in nearly 20 years.

He's already identified the one ticker he expects billions to flood into… and he's giving away the name for free.

Get the full details before the window closes.

Macro Pulse

Treasury Secretary Bessent lays out the Iran sanctions detail this afternoon, after a week of billing it as the largest financial offensive ever aimed at an adversary.

Crude is lower anyway. WTI trades near $85.65, off about 1.6 percent, after both benchmarks gained more than 5 percent last week.

That is what a market looks like when the news is already bought. Think of homeowners rushing to refinance ahead of an expected rate move. By announcement day, the rush is behind them.

Wednesday carries July PCE, the second read on second-quarter GDP, and Nvidia after the close. Friday brings Kevin Warsh's first Jackson Hole keynote as chair. The ten-year sits at 4.74 percent, the top of its 52-week range.

Tickers To Watch

NVDA: Reports Wednesday after the close. Consensus revenue near $92 billion.
MRVL: Down 5.6 percent premarket. Reports Thursday.
BABA: Down 8.6 percent premarket, the largest mover on the board.
WMT: Lost more than 10 percent last week on a rare miss.

#1 Power Grid Stock Right Now

I'm writing to share our #1 st ock to buy right now as the U.S. power grid cracks .

This company's new tech is already live in remote fields in West Texas.

It can generate round-the-clock power without waiting years for the public grid to catch up. This tech is now backed by Elon Musk. And Meta, Microsoft, and Google are getting in too.

Satellite images have surfaced - that could soon show everyone what's going on. So before the average person hears about this...

Bottom Line

Today is a placeholder. The week does not really begin until Wednesday morning.

The risk for a retirement portfolio is not the sanctions headline. It is the long end of the bond market. The 30-year near 5.28 percent has done more damage to growth stocks this month than any geopolitical story.

The useful task before Wednesday is checking how much of your equity sleeve rides on one earnings report.

The REAL Reason 2,000 Missiles Rained on Iran

Forget about terrorism. Forget about oil prices. Forget about everything the evening news has been telling you.

Because after two private meetings with United States Congressmen on March 2nd... and weeks of digging into what those conversations pointed me toward

I'm now convinced we launched those strikes for a completely different reason.
