Where Futures Sit

S&P 500 futures are flat. Nasdaq 100 futures are up 0.2 percent. Dow futures are off 54 points. Both the S&P and Nasdaq closed at record highs Friday. VIX is back above 18.

Macro Pulse

Iran proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend while pushing nuclear talks to a later date. Trump cancelled the Witkoff and Kushner trip to Pakistan, saying calls would do. WTI is near $95. Goldman now sees Brent averaging $90 in Q4. The week is loaded: FOMC Wednesday, four of the Mag 7 reporting Wednesday (MSFT, GOOGL, META, AMZN), Apple Thursday, jobs report Friday.

Tickers To Watch

DPZ: Down 4 percent premarket. US same-store sales guide of 0.9 percent missed the 2.3 percent consensus.

VZ: Reports before the bell. Wireless adds and free cash flow in focus.

NUE: Steel bellwether. Read on industrial demand.

INTC: Closed Friday at $82.57 after a 23 percent surge. Watch for follow-through or profit taking.

NVDA, AMD: Semis logged 18 straight up sessions. Positioning is stretched.

XLE: Energy bid as Hormuz stays contested.

Bottom Line

A flat open masks a loaded week. FOMC plus four Mag 7 prints plus jobs Friday is a setup that punishes overconfidence. If your portfolio is concentrated in semis after the 47 percent year-to-date run, this is a week to review exposure, not add to it.
